When buying speed bag platforms, you’ll normally have to purchase the speed bag itself separate. This is great if you already have speed bag(s) lying around or if you like to change the size of the bags regularly, for when different people use it for example.

The most common part to be replaced on speed bag platforms is the swivel. This is the little metal contraption that attaches the speed bag to the platform itself.
Unfortunately, the swivel is where many companies (none that we’ve listed) cut corners and costs and provide shoddy equipment. If you already have a speed bag/platform then it’s a good idea to purchase a good quality swivel like this one from Everlast. This will allow the bag to more smoothly and more fluidly so you can get the optimal results out of your speed bag training.
It’s worth buying a good quality swivel right off of the bat so you don’t have to waste time replacing it a later date.
Overall
